The listing is for 1x animal, of a highly sought-after species of isopod (woodlouse/roly poly/pillbug) that is famous for their gold speckling that adorns their whole body.
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Malaysia. When a group is purchased, the isopods sent will be an assorted mixture of ages and sizes, to ensure a good start to a breeding colony.
The isopods feed on a variety of forest materials such as decaying wood and leaf litter. Additional supplements such as calcium (limestone/cuttlefish bone) and fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.
As with most Cubaris spp., this species should be kept moist and not wet. Too much humidity and dampness can introduce problems such as moulting issues and sudden die-offs. Therefore, there should also be lots of places to escape the moisture from the soil when needed. These can be in the form of decaying wood pieces, cork bark, and piles of leaf litter.
