- There are currently several different species of "Green Spots" all misidentified and missold in the UK under the single name of Troglodillo rotundatus "Green Spot". This culture here is a new species to the hobby from Guangxi, China. It is imperative to properly name culture locales to be able to discern these different species apart to prevent the mixing of cultures and accidental hybridisation in the hobby.
First bred in the UK by me in 2023 originally from a group of 5, I can finally offer surplus offspring in small quantities. As these are slow breeders, surplus stock from my captive breeding programme will be available infrequently.
The listing is for 1x animal, of a highly sought-after species of isopod (woodlouse/roly poly/pillbug) that is famous for its neon-green splotches that adorns their whole body.
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Guangxi, China, Asia. When a group is purchased, the isopods sent will be an assorted mixture of ages and sizes, to ensure a good start to a breeding colony.
The isopods feed on a variety of forest materials such as decaying wood and leaf litter. Additional supplements such as calcium (limestone/cuttlefish bone) and fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.
