Common name - Giant Jianfengling Stick Insect
Scientific name - Tirachoidea jianfenglingensis
This listing is for 5 EGGS, of the third largest species of stick insect kept in the UK hobby! This is a gigantic species of stick insect native to Hainan Island off the South coast of China. Adult females are predominantly green but some can take on shades of brown and can become very thick when full of eggs. Females are completely wingless while males have a full set of wings and are capable of gliding for short distances.
These are CAPTIVE BRED, with this stock originating from Jianfengling National Park, Hainan Island. The foodplants for this species are bramble, raspberry, oak, beech, etc.
