The listing is for 1x animal, of a large species of isopod (rolypoly/pillbug/woodlice) that is a very active and showy species in any collection. Their yellow colour strengthens with age and size, so juveniles will have more of a faded yellow/white to begin with.

This is a pedigree called "High Yellow", which is a line that has been selectively bred for their high yellow colouration. This is a different pedigree to P. ornatus "Yellow", and some individuals can reach near fully-yellow colouration.

These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Spain. When a group is purchased, the isopods sent will be an assorted mixture of ages and sizes, to ensure a good start to a breeding colony.

Like other giant Porcellio species, this species prefers a less moist environment compared to other isopods, with plenty of airflow as well.

The isopods feed on a variety of forest materials such as decaying wood and leaf litter. Additional supplements such as calcium (limestone/cuttlefish bone) and fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.
