First bred in the UK by me in 2023 originally from a group of 5, I can finally offer surplus offspring in small quantities. As these are slow breeders, surplus stock from my captive breeding programme will be available infrequently.

The listing is for 1x animal, of a large species of isopod (rolypoly/pillbug/woodlice) that that is highly sought after for its large size and ornate, yellow markings. Older males can get particularly large with their elongated uropods.

This is a special line called "Giant", which originates from a distinct population separate to normal-sized P. haasi (such as P. haasi "High Yellow"), where fully grown adults can get twice as large and reach impressive sizes.

These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Spain. When a group is purchased, the isopods sent will be an assorted mixture of ages and sizes, to ensure a good start to a breeding colony.

The isopods feed on a variety of forest materials such as decaying wood and leaf litter. Additional supplements such as calcium (limestone/cuttlefish bone) and fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.
