The listing is for 1x beetle larva, of a highly sought after species of Stag Beetle that is infamous for their metalic, rainbow colouration as aduets. This is a RARE, special bloodline from Japan, the capital of beetle breeding, that is being offered for sale for the first time ever in the UK.
This is the special "Sapphire" pedigree which is a selectively bred bloodline that has been carefully selected by Japanese pro-breeders for its blue body colour. This is a newly developed pedigree that is very rare even in the collections of pro-breeders worldwide.
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Queensland in Australia.
The adult beetles feed on a variety of fruits such as banana, apple, pear, peach and watermelon. The larvae feed on decaying wood.
