Common name - Comet Flower Beetle
Scientific name - Mecynorrhina kraatzi
The listing is for bulk quantities of beetle larvae, of a RARE species of horned flower beetle. This species is infamous for their gigantic, lance-like horns that are tipped in red. Their black bodies are also lined with contrasting streaks of yellow, resembling comet tails shining in the night sky.
These are CAPTIVE BRED, with this stock originating from Cameroon.
The adult beetles feed on a variety of fruits such as banana, apple, pear, peach and watermelon. The larvae feed on decaying wood and leaf litter.
