Scientific name - Lamprima adolphinae "Amethyst"
The listing is for 1x adult beetle, of a very beautiful, metallic species that can take on a variety of colours as adults, ranging from gold to blue to red to green.
This is a special bloodline where I have been selectively breeding adults that show a higher proportion of purple than normal. *Disclaimer* - This new purple bloodline is not 100% stable yet, so it can still sometimes produce adults of other colours, especially in the males.
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with the stock originating from West Papua.
The adult beetles feed on a variety of fruits such as banana, apple, pear, peach and watermelon. The larvae feed on decaying wood.
