Isopod Mystery Boxes
This listing is for a mystery box containing one or more species of live isopods (roly-poly/ pill-bugs/woodlice). Species, quantities, and age structure are selected at random and may vary between boxes. These boxes are suitable for keepers looking to establish or expand isopod colonies, as well as for educational or gifting purposes.
Each mystery box contains isopods with a combined retail value exceeding the purchase price, with at least 40% EXTRA value!
Mystery boxes available are:
- £10 -> MORE THAN £14 of isopods
- £20 -> MORE THAN £28 of isopods
- £50 -> MORE THAN £70 of isopods
- £100 -> MORE THAN £140 of isopods
- £200 -> MORE THAN £280 of isopods
- £250 -> MORE THAN £350 of isopods
- £500 -> MORE THAN £700 of isopods
If you have specific preferences (for example, favouring certain genera such as Armadillidium or Porcellio, excluding particular groups, or requesting fewer species at higher counts vs. a wider mix at lower counts), these can be noted at checkout. I will do my best to accommodate within reasonable limits! :)
These isopods are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection. I continually maintain multiple breeding projects, so boxes may include species or morphs that are not currently listed individually on the website.
The isopods feed primarily on decaying hardwood and leaf mulch (well-decomposed leaf litter). Additional dietary components such as calcium sources (e.g. limestone or cuttlefish bone), fruit and vegetable matter, moss, and occasional protein sources (e.g. fish food) should be offered as part of a balanced diet.
