Common name - Hooded Stag Beetle
Scientific name - Homoderus mellyi
The listing is for 1x beetle larva, of an orange coloured stag beetle species that are well known for their extraordinarily shaped thorax, which overhangs and forms a hood over their mouthparts.
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Cameroon.
The adult beetles feed on a variety of fruits such as banana, apple, pear, peach and watermelon. The larvae feed on decaying wood.
