The listing is for 1x animal, of a highly sought-after species of cockroach that is well-known for their intense, metallic blue colouring as adults. Compared to the two other Eucorydia species made available by us in the UK, this species is unique in that it has white, velvety hairs that cover their wings. This is a RARE species of cockroach that is being offered for sale for the first time ever in the UK.
Nymphs of this species cannot climb smooth surfaces (unlike emerald roaches), but become capable climbers once they reach adulthood. Good ventilation is a must for this species. Please note that this species only becomes blue after the final moult, and is a small species where fully grown adults are 15mm in length.
These are CAPTIVE BRED, with this stock originating from Iriomote Island, Japan.
The nymphs and adults feed mainly on leaf litter. Additional supplements such as fruits, bee pollen and fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.
