Common name - White Hercules Rhinoceros Beetle
Scientific name - Dynastes grantii
The listing is for bulk quantities of beetle larva, of the largest rhino beetle species in the USA. Unlike other members of the Hercules Rhino Beetle family, adults of the White Hercule sare a minty-white colour instead of the typical black + yellow.
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Arizona, US.
Like many members of the rhino/stag beetle families, the males of this species possess large horns/mandibles used in wrestling matches with rival males, while females lack these structures. The adult beetles feed on a variety of fruits such as banana, apple, pear, peach and watermelon. The larvae feed on decaying wood.
