Common name - Pink Dragon Millipede
Scientific name - Desmoxytes planata
The listing is for 1x animal, of a highly sought-after species of millipede that is famous for its intense, pink colouration and the spiny protrusions that line its body. Please note that this is a small species and fully grown adults measure around 30mm.
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Thailand, Asia.
The 3 sizes available are:
1. Small - 0.5-1cm juveniles
2. Medium - 1-1.5cm grown on juveniles
3. Large - +1.5cm subadults/adults
The juveniles and adults feed mainly on decaying wood and leaf mulch (decayed leaf litter). Additional supplements such as calcium (limestone/cuttlefish bone), fruits & veg, moss, and protein such as fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.
