Common name - Metallic Stag Beetle
Scientific name - Cyclommatus metallifer finae
The listing is for 1x beetle larva, of a metallic species of Stag Beetle that is the record holder for having the biggest jaw size to body ratio, with large males possessing mandibles that are two times the length of their body.
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Peleng Island in Indonesia.
This species can take on a variety of colour forms as adults, ranging between purple, gold, and bronze.
The adult beetles feed on a variety of fruits such as banana, apple, pear, peach and watermelon. The larvae feed on decaying wood.
