Scientific name - Cyclommatus metallifer finae "Cyan"
The listing is for 1x beetle larva, of a metallic species of Stag Beetle that infamous for being the record holder of the longest jaw size to body ratio. Large, major males possess mandibles that are almost twice the length of their body. This is a RARE, special bloodline from Japan that is being offered for sale for the first time ever in the UK.
This is the special "Cyan" pedigree which is a selectively bred bloodline that has been carefully selected by Japanese pro-breeders for its cyan-blue body colour.
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Peleng Island in Indonesia.
The adult beetles feed on a variety of fruits such as banana, apple, pear, peach and watermelon. The larvae feed on decaying wood.
