Common name - Elaphus Stag Beetle
Scientific name - Cyclommatus elpahus
The listing is for 1x beetle larva, of a RARE species of Stag Beetle that is being offered for sale for the first time ever in the UK. This species is infamous for being the largest species in the Cyclommatus genus (max size >100mm), their metallic green colouration with purple hues, and ornately shaped mandibles much like its relatives in the Cyclommatus genus.
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Sumatra, Asia.
The adult beetles feed on a variety of fruits such as banana, apple, pear, peach and watermelon. The larvae feed on decaying wood.
