The listing is for 1x animal, of a highly sought-after species of isopod (rolypoly/pillbug/woodlice) that has been developed from Cubaris sp. "Lemon Blue", which is famous for its yellow outlines with a solid, powder blue in the middle.
This is a pedigree called "Lemon Drop", which was selectively bred its albino mutation. This makes them look icy white with yellow highlights, and also makes their eyes crystal white as well.
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Thailand, Asia. When a group is purchased, the isopods sent will be an assorted mixture of ages and sizes, to ensure a good start to a breeding colony.
The isopods feed on a variety of forest materials such as decaying wood and leaf litter. Additional supplements such as calcium (limestone/cuttlefish bone) and fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.
As with most Cubaris spp., this species should be kept moist and not wet. Too much humidity and dampness can introduce problems such as moulting issues and sudden die-offs. Therefore, there should also be lots of places to escape the moisture from the soil when needed. These can be in the form of decaying wood pieces, cork bark, and piles of leaf litter.
