Common name - Armoured Striped Millipede "Red"
Scientific name - Coromus vittatus "Red"

The listing is for 1x captive bred animal, of a beginner-friendly species of millipede that is famous for its prehistoric looking, armoured, flat body. Juveniles are white but become black with a bold, yellow stripe once adult. This species is easy to breed and very prolific.

This is a distinct phenotypic line of C. vittatus called "Red". Unlike the regular yellow/orange variety, individuals from this distinct population stand out with red marginal markings on their bodies and deep red legs.

These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Africa.

The juveniles and adults feed mainly on decaying wood and leaf mulch (decayed leaf litter). Additional supplements such as calcium (limestone/cuttlefish bone), moss, and protein such as fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.
