⨂ ADULTS - Opal Flower Beetle, (Chlorocala umtaliensis)

Common name - Opal Flower Beetle
Scientific name - Chlorocala smaragdina umtaliensis

The listing is for 1x adult beetle, of a very beautiful species of flower beetle that was very recently brought into the hobby in 2019. The adults are a metallic purple, with a dollop of creamy ivory in the centre.

These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Zimbabwe.

The adult beetles feed on a variety of fruits such as banana, apple, pear, peach and watermelon. The larvae feed on decaying wood and leaf litter.
