Common name - Pastel Blue Rainbow Millipede
Scientific name - Atopochetus sp. "Pastel Blue"
The listing is for 1x captive bred animal, of a newly-introduced species of gorgeous millipede that is characterised by its contrasting blue-grey and red colouration. Juveniles start off dark, but their pastel-blue strengthens as they grow up.
This species is quite similar to the already established Atopochetus caudulanus circulating in the hobby, but this species grows larger and has a more pastel-blue colouration.
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Thailand, Asia.
The juveniles and adults feed mainly on decaying wood and leaf mulch (decayed leaf litter). Additional supplements such as fruits & veg, moss, and protein such as fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.
