Common name - Red Flatback Millipede (AKA. Red Thai Flat Millipede)
Scientific name - Antheromorpha uncinata

The listing is for 1x animal, of a highly sought-after species of millipede that is famous for its intense, red colouration and the spiny protrusions that line its body. Similar in looks to the sought-after pink dragon millipede, but at over twice the sizeThis species is easy to breed and very prolific.

These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Thailand, Asia.

The juveniles and adults feed mainly on decaying wood and leaf mulch (decayed leaf litter). Additional supplements such as calcium (limestone/cuttlefish bone), fruits & veg, moss, and protein such as fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.

** Although A. uncinata has historically been called "Red Flatback Millipede/Red Thai Flat Millipede", this species has been marketed under different common names in recent years by other sellers. These include "Red Spined Millipede" and "Red Dragon Millipede", likely in reference to the spiny protrusions that line its body. This highlights the importance of using the scientific name whenever possible, to avoid confusion or misidentification between species with similar or multiple common names. **
