Common name - Giant Firehead Millipede
Scientific name - Analocostreptus (Spirostreptus) servatius
The listing is for 1x animal, of a gorgeous species of millipede that is famous for its large size and fire-orange head, that contrasts its blue-grey body. This is a giant species where old, fully grown adults can reach 20 cm in length.
The 4 sizes available are:
1. Small - 1-5 cm juveniles
2. Medium - 5-10 cm grown on juveniles
3. Large - 10-14 cm subadults
3. Extra Large - 14+ cm subadults/adults
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from West Africa.
The juveniles and adults feed mainly on decaying wood and leaf mulch (decayed leaf litter). Additional supplements such as calcium (limestone/cuttlefish bone), fruits & veg, moss, and protein such as fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.
