Common name - Bumblebee Millipede
Scientific name - Anadenobolus monilicornis
The listing is for 1x animal, of a popularly kept species of millipede that are infamous for their contrasting yellow and black banding that runs along the length of their body, which gives them their common name of Bumblebee Millipede. Juveniles start off pale, but their yellow and black colouration strengthen as they grow up.
These are CAPTIVE BRED, with this stock originating from Florida, USA.
The 3 sizes available are:
1. Small - 1-2cm juveniles
2. Medium - 2-4cm grown on juveniles
3. Large - +4cm subadults/adults
The juveniles and adults feed mainly on decaying wood and leaf litter. Additional supplements such as calcium (limestone/cuttlefish bone), fruits & veg, moss, and protein such as fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.
