Common name - Orange Spot Flower Beetle
Scientific name - Amaurodes passerinii
The listing is for 1x beetle larva, of a RARE species of horned flower beetle. This species had been lost from the hobby for many years, but are now back thanks to several European breeders who have managed to source and import wild adults to breed them in captivity again.
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Tanzania.
The adult beetles feed on a variety of fruits such as banana, apple, pear, peach and watermelon. The larvae feed on decaying wood and leaf litter.
