Common name - Margarita Rhino Beetle
Scientific name - Agaocephala margaridae

The listing is for 1x beetle larva, of a very rare species of rhino beetle which are being offered for sale in the UK for the first time. Imported adult pairs from Japan have been sold in Europe before for £250 per pair.

The characteristic features of this species is their unusual, foked horn which make them resemble stag beetles, and their contrasting iridescent purple/green upper body against their chestnut brown wings.

These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Para in Brazil.

The adult beetles feed on a variety of fruits such as banana, apple, pear, peach and watermelon. The larvae feed on decaying wood and leaf litter.
