Scientific name - Aegus platyodon
The listing is for 1x beetle larva, of a beginner-friendly species of stag beetle that is well-known for their impressive mandible morphology. This is a very fast growing species that can reach maturity in 6-8 months.
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Papua New Guinea, Asia.
The adult beetles feed on a variety of fruits such as banana, apple, pear, peach and watermelon. The larvae feed on decaying wood.
