The listing is for 1x animal, of a large species of isopod (rolypoly/pillbug/woodlice). This species is well-known for its contrasting black and neon yellow markings, and for its large size. This species is one of the largest common Armadillidium species currently available in the UK hobby, reaching nearly twice the size of the commonly-kept Zebra Isopods.
This is a special bloodline called "White", which has been selectively-bred for its lighter pigmentation. This makes the usual yellow spots that this species is known for, white.
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from France. When a group is purchased, the isopods sent will be an assorted mixture of ages and sizes, to ensure a good start to a breeding colony.
The isopods feed on a variety of forest materials such as decaying wood and leaf litter. Additional supplements such as calcium (limestone/cuttlefish bone) and fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.
