Common name - Spotted Fire Millipede
Scientific name - Centrobolus splendidus
The listing is for 1x captive bred animal, of a beginner-friendly species of millipede that is famous for its bright red body which is lined with contrasting black markings. Juveniles start off pale, but their red and black colouration strengthen as they grow up.
These are from a CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with the stocks originating from Mozambique, Africa.
The juveniles and adults feed mainly on decaying wood and leaf mulch (decayed leaf litter). Additional supplements such as calcium (limestone/cuttlefish bone), fruits & veg, moss, and protein such as fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.
