The listing is for 1x bulk lot of beetle larva, of a metallic species of Stag Beetle that is the record holder for having the biggest jaw size to body ratio, with large males possessing mandibles that are two times the length of their body. This is a special bloodline where they have been selectively bred for their purple colour.

These are CAPTIVE BRED, with this stock originating from Peleng Island in Indonesia.

This species can take on a variety of colour forms as adults, ranging between purple, gold, and bronze.

The adult beetles feed on a variety of fruits such as banana, apple, pear, peach and watermelon. The larvae feed on decaying wood.
