Common name - Tiger Flower Beetle "Orange"
Scientific name - Mecynorrhina oberthuri decorata "Orange"

The listing is for 1x, larva of a VERY RARE species of giant flower beetle that is highly sought after by beetle breeders for their contrasting ripple pattern of orange and black.

These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Tanzania.

This species is closely related to Mecynorrhina ugandensis - the second largest Flower Beetle species in the world after Goliath Beetles.

The adult beetles feed on a variety of fruits such as banana, apple, pear, peach and watermelon. The larvae feed on decaying wood and leaf litter.
